Ahmedabad Police files complaint against Khalistan Terrorist Gurupatwant Singh Pannun

Ahmedabad: A police complaint has been filed against Khalistan terrorist Gurupatwant Singh Pannun, who is also the chief of the banned US-based Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), for issuing threats ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup match in the city. Pannu is a dual citizen of America and Canada. His messages threaten to disrupt the ICC Cricket World Cup matches to be held in Narendra Modi stadium of Ahmedabad next month.
The first information report has been lodged at the cybercrime police station in Ahmedabad, alleging that residents of the city received threatening calls in the name of Pannu. Gurupatwant Singh Pannu has been declared a terrorist by the Government of India. The intentions of these calls were to spread hatred among the people ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup, scheduled to commence on October 5th in the city.
According to the FIR, a voice clip was received in which the audio stated, “India, not the cricket world cup, but terror world cup will start at Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. Shikhs for justice is going to use and storm Ahmedabad with Khalistan flags. We are going to take revenge of Nijjar’s assassination. We are going to use the ballot against your bullets. We’re going to use the vote against your violence. Remember 5th October, it will not be the World Cricket Cup. It will be the beginning of the World Terror Cup. Messages is from Gurpatwant Singh Pannu”
The FIR filed against Pannu includes charges under sections 121(A), 153(A)(B), 505 IPC, UAPA, and IT Act 66 F. Pannu specifically targeted the match set to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat on October 5, alleging that it would signify the start of the ‘World Terror Cup.
Nijjar had issued similar threats through social media and other means ahead of the India – Australia match in Modi stadium earlier this year. DeshGujarat
