Rupala tenders apology over his remarks in gathering of Kshatriya leaders

Rajkot: Rajkot Lok Sabha seat candidate and union Agriculture minister Parshottam Rupala today once against tendered his apology for remarks that have hurt the Kshatriya community.

A meeting of Kshatriya community was called at Shemla village of Gondal belt. It was chaired by Jayrajsinh Jadeja, a strongman of the community in this Rajkot rural at his Ganeshgadh farmhouse. Various MLAs, former MLAs, and leaders of various organizations belonging to Kshatriya community were present here. Rupala arrived here and with folded hands tendered apologies.

He said he has felt the anger among Kshatriya community people due to his remarks. He said he is very regretful that such a remark was uttered from his mouth. He said there’s no record in his lifetime that he said something and then took it back. He said he went to Bhajan programme of Karshan Sagathiya. The programme was unscheduled. And in that function, he said something, because of which his party (BJP) was at the receiving end. Rupala said he was responsible for that lapse. Rupala conveyed thanks to Jayrajsinh for taking an interest into the solution of the controversy.

Jayrajsinh Jadeja, former MLA of Gondal speaking in this function said that Rupala committed a mistake and he also was upset but within 40 minutes, Rupala released a video and apologized for the remark. Jayrajsinh went on to say that it is Kshatriya dharma to forgive when one comes to our place tendering apology. Jayrajsinh later told media persons that the issue ends here.
