Gandhinagar: Gujarat Police has launched a dedicated WhatsApp number to enable citizens to easily share information related to drug trafficking, sale, and other suspicious activities. The initiative is part of the state’s ongoing campaign to make Gujarat drug-free.

Now, any citizen can directly contact the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Gujarat Police, on WhatsApp number 99040 01908 to provide information related to narcotics. In addition, the Narcotics Helpline number 1908 is also available for citizens to report drug-related incidents or seek assistance.

Gujarat Police has launched a systematic and focused drive against drug mafias. To ensure strict and effective action, a dedicated Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has been formed within Gujarat Police to deal exclusively with narcotics-related cases.

With the introduction of the WhatsApp facility, the ANTF aims to further accelerate its anti-drug operations and encourage public participation. Gujarat Police has assured citizens that the identity and personal details of anyone providing information will be kept completely confidential. Officials emphasized that even a small tip from the public can play a crucial role in protecting the youth of Gujarat from the menace of drugs.

Apart from enforcement, ANTF Gujarat Police is continuously working to curb drug trafficking, create awareness in educational institutions, and assist individuals in overcoming drug addiction.
