Ahmedabad: A late-night publicity reel shoot on CG Road in Navrangpura sparked chaos after it blocked traffic and left commuters stranded. The incident surfaced when a video of the disruption went viral on social media on Sunday, drawing the attention of traffic authorities.
Police said four individuals, including a Thar driver, a motorcyclist, and two others, had assembled on the busy road to film an advertisement in a cinematic style. Without obtaining permission, they partially occupied the public road and attracted a crowd, causing congestion in an area already known for heavy traffic.

The situation escalated as onlookers paused to watch the shoot, further worsening the traffic jam. A passerby captured the scene and uploaded the video online, which quickly reached traffic police officials.
Subsequently, the B Division Traffic Police registered a case against the four under sections pertaining to obstruction of a public road and unsafe parking. An investigation is currently underway. Officials noted that such incidents, driven by reels, pranks, or promotional content, are becoming increasingly common, with influencers often disregarding regulations for visibility.
A similar episode occurred a few months ago when actors promoting a Gujarati film performed stunts on Sindhu Bhavan Road and nearby areas. After footage of the act went viral, police intervened, and the actors later issued a public apology. DeshGujarat
