ACB nabs a police constable, middleman in bribe case in Patan

Patan: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has captured a police constable and a middleman in Patan in a bribe case. Accused Hitesh Desai is a police constable in Patan ‘A’ division police station. Another accused middleman Vijayji Thakor runs a tea shop in Patan City. According to ACB, the complainant’s mother was in the liquor business previously. The accused constable demanded a Rs. 10,000 bribe pending since the liquor business was ongoing. As the complainant was unwilling to pay a bribe, she contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and the accused constable and middleman tea shop owner were nabbed after the bribe money was received.
