Vadodara: Due to heavy rainfall, today’s Garba has been cancelled, declared the organizers of United Way of Baroda garba event in Vadodara today afternoon.

The message conveyed to Khelaiyas further communicated – ‘Let’s pray together that tomorrow we meet again with music, devotion, and joy.’

‘Maa Amba teaches us patience in times of trial. With a heavy heart, we regret to announce that today’s Garba cannot take place due to the persistent rain,’ the message reads.

Thousands of Khelaiyas gather each night of Navratri to play Garba with the music by Atul Purohit at United Way ground. On the first day, the Garba goers had protested in front of the stage the muddy ground due to rainfall. The organizers had made the ground ready from second night of Navratri. The garba josh was on peak through the week. However Sunday’s rainfall has affected the ground so much that the event had to be called off.

Garba on Satam, Atham will be possible only if rainfall stops and some sunlight is restored. In similar announcement, the Garba events at LVP Heritage and VNF are also called off. DeshGujarat
