Income Tax searches at over 30 locations linked to builder groups in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The Income Tax Department has launched a mega search operation in the city at the premises of leading builder groups, triggering widespread unease within Ahmedabad’s real estate sector.
According to sources, the raids are being carried out at the offices and residential premises of the Kameshwar Group and Deep Builders.
Search operations are being conducted at locations linked to Prahalad Patel, Dipen Patel and Nikunj Patel of the Kameshwar Group, as well as at the premises of Dinesh Patel of the Deep Group and other associated partners.
The Income Tax Department has reportedly undertaken the operation across more than 30 locations in different parts of the city. The search proceedings are currently underway.
Officials said that documents, books of accounts and financial records are being examined as part of the investigation. Further details are awaited. DeshGujarat
