Rajkot: A minor clash between two groups of youths during Holika Dahan celebrations was reported from the Bhagwatipara area of the city.

According to police, the incident occurred when a group of youths from other religion passing by the Holika Dahan site was asked to move aside by those participating in the ritual. An argument ensued after they allegedly did not give way, leading to a brief face-off between the two groups. Locals intervened and separated the youths before the situation could escalate.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Hetal Patel said police were alerted immediately and a convoy, including senior officers, reached the spot. “During Holika Dahan in Bhagwatipara, a dispute arose between two groups after one group asked the other to move aside. Three youths have been detained in connection with the incident,” she said.

A video of the incident later surfaced on social media, following which police intensified patrolling in the area. Authorities said the situation is currently peaceful and under control. DeshGujarat
