GPCC top team meets Rahul Gandhi; 43 loyal MLAs to fly to Delhi, Tirupati

New Delhi/Gandhinagar: Gujarat Congress President Bharatsinh Solanki and state party in-charge Ashok Gehlot along with state secretaries of the party today had a meeting with national vice president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi during which Political secretary to Sonia Gandhi, Ahmed Patel was also present.
Solanki later said that various organizational and poll related issues were discuses in the meeting.
‘The party has also decided to take the services of a company ‘Political Edge’ to strengthen its social media campaign to counter the propaganda of ruling BJP,’ he said.
Solanki said that all the 43 MLAs of the party would go to Delhi on August 20 and would meet Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi on the next day ie August 21.
‘They would then fly to Tirupati via Chennai from Delhi on the next day August 22 to pray for the good of Gujarat. They had wished that if Ahmedbhai wins (the August 8 Rajyasabha poll) and the good of Gujarat prevails, they would go the the Tirumala temple for prayers,’ he said.
