Who is Dr Rajendrakumar Patel, now removed as Surendranagar Collector ?

Surendranagar: Dr. Rajendrakumar Mahendrabhai Patel, District Collector of Surendranagar who is now facing Enforcement Directorate and Anti Corruption Bureau probe is Gujarat cadre officer of Indian Administrative Service of year 2015 batch. Born on 23 August 1985, he joined IAS on 7 September 2015. He was appointed as District Collector of Surendranagar on 4 February 2025. He is Master of Arts (Public Policy) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery by education. Patel hails from Trent village of Mandal area in Ahmedabad district. As per his filing, he owns J 102 flat in Shukan Platinum scheme in Gota area of Ahmedabad. He also owns Rs. 15 lakh house in Trent near Mandal jointly with his family which he has received in inheritance. He has also Rs. 5 crore non-agricultural land which he got in inheritance jointly with his family at Trent which attracts around Rs. 10 lakh annual rent income. Prior to his appointment as district collector of Surendranagar, Dr. Rajendrakumar Patel was Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC).
He was also in the past Assistant Collector of Talaja in Bhavnagar district, DDO of Sabarkantha-Himmatnagar, DDO of Vadodara district and in-charge Collector of Sabarkantha.
