Ekta Nagar to Get New 127-Room IRCTC Hotel; PM Modi to Inaugurate on Oct 31

Gandhinagar: A new 127-room IRCTC hotel near Ekta Nagar Railway Station, built at a cost of ₹52.50 crore, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2026. The hotel is expected to boost tourism and support the local economy by providing modern accommodation for visitors to the Statue of Unity and nearby tourist attractions.

Spread across approximately two acres, the hotel features four types of rooms, a restaurant, a cafeteria, a banquet hall, conference facilities and a swimming pool. Its proximity to Ekta Nagar Railway Station is expected to make it a convenient accommodation option for tourists arriving by train.

Rising Tourist Footfall to Create Local Economic Opportunities

The growing number of tourists visiting Ekta Nagar has increased the need for additional accommodation and modern hospitality facilities. The Statue of Unity has received more than 3 crore visitors to date, creating demand for a wider range of accommodation options.

The new hotel is expected to expand the area’s hospitality capacity and generate direct employment opportunities in hotel management, housekeeping, and food and beverage services.

Longer Tourist Stays to Benefit Local Businesses

Modern accommodation, dining options and conference facilities are expected to encourage tourists to extend their stays in Ekta Nagar, boosting business for local establishments and supporting wider economic activity.

The hotel’s banquet hall and conference facilities could also create opportunities to host corporate meetings, conventions and social gatherings, helping position Ekta Nagar as a venue for professional events and other functions.

These facilities are expected to contribute to the development of Ekta Nagar as a comprehensive tourism destination.
