Platforms 4 and 5 at Udhna Railway Station in Surat Closed for 125 Days; Trains Diverted

Surat: From Monday, November 17, platforms 4 and 5 of Udhna Railway Station have been closed for 125 days as major work on the air concourse (platt deck) and roof-through structure begins. Passenger movement has been completely stopped on both platforms, and all trains scheduled from these platforms have been diverted.
For the next four months, trains earlier departing from platforms 4 and 5 will operate from platforms 3 and 6. Passengers have been advised to check platform information in advance before arriving at the station.
Several long-distance trains have been diverted or partially cancelled due to the construction work:
Udhna–Puri (08471)
Stopped at Chalthan station; cancelled between Chalthan–Udhna for 125 days.
Udhna–Jayanagar (09068)
Stopped at Chalthan; cancelled between Chalthan–Udhna.
Udhna–Chhapra (05115–16)
Will now start from Surat; Udhna–Surat section cancelled for 125 days.
Udhna–Megaluru (09057–58)
Diverted to start from Surat instead of Udhna.
Udhna–Subedarganj (04155–56)
Will depart from platform 6 at Udhna.
Raxaul–Udhna (05559–60)
Will operate from Surat; cancelled between Udhna–Surat.
Passengers boarding at Udhna will need to use alternative vehicles to reach Surat or Chalthan where necessary.
Platforms 4 and 5 will remain closed while the works such as removal and shifting of telecom cables, demolition of the old platform sheds and clearing of debris, RCC construction as part of the new air concourse, upgradation of power cables and signalling systems are completed.
Platforms 1, 2, 3 and 6 will continue to operate normally.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to confirm updated train schedules and platform numbers for the next 125 days to avoid inconvenience during travel.
