Congress Announces State-Level Committees in Gujarat Ahead of Local Body Polls

Ahmedabad: The Congress party has constituted several state-level committees in Gujarat for the upcoming local body elections, with the proposal approved by the party’s national president, according to a press release issued on Thursday.

The committees have been formed with immediate effect to coordinate election strategy, campaign planning, media outreach, manifesto preparation and overall election management in the state.

For the Strategy Committee, Bharatsinh Solanki has been appointed Chairman, Lalji Desai as Vice Chairman and Hemang Vasavada as Convenor.

The Campaign Committee will be headed by Shaktisinh Gohil as Chairman, with Paresh Dhanani serving as Vice Chairman and Geniben Thakor as Convenor.

In the Election Management Committee, Siddharth Patel has been named Chairman, Jignesh Mevani as Vice Chairman and Bimalbhai Shah as Convenor.

The Program Implementation Committee will have Jagdish Thakor as Chairman, Indravijaysinh Gohil as Vice Chairman and Himmatsinh Patel as Convenor.

For the Manifesto Committee, Shailesh Parmar has been appointed Chairman, Rutvik Makwana as Vice Chairman and Dr Manish M. Doshi as Convenor.

The Media Committee will be led by Dr Amee Yajnik as Chairman, with Lalitbhai Kagathara as Vice Chairman and Gyassuddin Shaikh as Convenor.

Meanwhile, the Publicity Committee will be headed by Kadirbhai Pirzada as Chairman, Anant Patel as Vice Chairman and Chetan Raval as Convenor. DeshGujarat
