Kutch: Mogaldham Gadipati Rishi Bapu has begun a fast at Mogaldham Kabarau in protest against remarks made by Swami Neelkanth Charandasji of Swaminarayan Gurukul regarding Dwarkadhish Shri Krishna. Calling it an insult to Lord Krishna, Rishi Bapu has declared a “religious war” and urged saints and monks from across the country to join him. He has also demanded the destruction of Swaminarayan books that he claims are written against Sanatan Dharma.
Charan Rishi Bapu insists that books written against Sanatan Dharma must be destroyed. “I will sit in Mogaldham for two days. After that, I will go to Swaminarayan Gurukul and protest there. Many devotees will join this protest, so I have also informed the government to maintain law and order,” he said.
He stated, “We feel hurt. They are with us, but if they wish to separate, we have no objection. Mataji calls anyone who opposes Sanatan Dharma a demon. How can Lord Krishna, whose name is worshipped three times and whose bhajans are sung, be dismissed by these people as false?”
“I want to tell all the sadhus and saints to come forward; otherwise, our Sanatan Dharma will be destroyed. Everyone should oppose such books and writings. This is a religious war, and it will continue. I will sit here for two days and then protest outside. If necessary, I will also sit at the Swaminarayan Gurukul. We must come together to eliminate these writings. Until the government takes firm action on this matter, our religious war will continue,” he added.
In a video, Swami Neelkanth Charandasji claimed that Dwarkadhish prayed to Maharaj (referring to Swaminarayan) to build a residence for him. The saint stated, “Maharaj says when we went to Dwarka, Dwarkadhish prayed to us, saying, ‘If you build a big shrine, a grand temple, it is my wish to come and reside there.’” Swami’s remarks have sparked outrage, particularly among Hindus, who view them as an attack on the existence of Lord Krishna.
