Hummer is the most impractical car ever made. May be it has proved good for the military but Hummer’s civilian versions have been a failure and now General Motors is selling it’s Hummer brand. First of all, I don’t understand why do you need to drive such a huge monstrous car in India. I mean we have Special Utility Vehicles (SUV) in form of Toyota Qualis, Tata Sumo, Tata Safari, Mahindra Scorpio and few new models from Toyota, Chevrolet and Ford as well as Maruti Suzuki. Then why Hummer? It will just add more traffic on the roads especially when Tata Nano is coming in the market. It is an extremely fuel inefficient car.
Initially when it was introduced in 1990s, prices for petrol were low in USA and people bought Hummers like crazy. Americans’ willingness to buy Hummers was always a stunner, a literal spit in the eye to common sense and Mother Earth. But Hummer buyers, macho posing aside, hardly stand alone. They were enabled by weak U.S. auto mileage requirements, the absurdly cheap cost of gasoline in a country with minimal gas taxes and short-term corporate thinking. But as the costs went up, people were no longer able to afford those big monsters. And now, General Motors has already filed for bankruptcy in USA, may be they are looking for markets outside USA.
This car has literally no practical use in day to day life. If you want to drive a fuel efficient, cheap, decent mileage and pick up car, then Hummer would be an absolute No No! In fact, in India, the prices of the hummer would be so high that only few privilleged would be able to buy it but show off is a must in Indian Society, so will not be surprized is some exceptionally rich people buy these Hummers and show it off.
Practically speaking, this car is of no use except the military. It was made for army and should be used for army only. May be if they want to try this one for Indian Army, then I would say yes but for general public, please no. If you care about environment, road traffic congestion and saving fuel, you would not buy this Gas Guzzler.
Thanks,
Jai Hind

Having new cars is not progress.
Non existence of the following (some among many) is real progress
1. Suicide cases of farmers, shopkeeprs, Ratnakers
2. Dowry deaths
3. Rape, murder and dacoity
4. Not having basic needs – Roti, Kapada aur Makan
5. Not having MOST basic needs – Clean air and water
6. Not having affordable proper education
7. Unemployment and Bribe cases

i have to make other points.
i saw many years of media reporting of ibnlive.com channel, i do not like rajdeep, suhashini haider, taklu(chobe).
for my convection only ANUBHA BHONSLE is stand out worker for indian interest. she is always doing right reporting with very warm nature.she is amazing and truthful (mostly). i think she is hard working lady for nation.she also know her limitation as whole media group is full of f****** people. i hope she will do well in future.
her (anubha bhonsle) view must be listen to bjp and especially mr. n. modi.
thanks. i give my opion as a common tv viwer. she can not do great work without many good leaders.she has to contact with honest bjp workers for future role. well i am not a bjp worker at all. i hate politician and their f****** ideology but i fond of modi for development work with FAST SPEED..

OK so I put my post saying that Hummer is the most impractical car ever made and wrote some details on it. And my post was taken out by the moderator. I think I did not write anything offensive against the marketing in India but I just wrote why Hummer has become a very impractical car in USA and why General Motors is selling the brand. I would kindly like to be enlightened why my post was removed. Would someone help and let me know if I have written something offensive and the reason my post was removed? Please let me know so next time if I am writing something, I make sure I don’t go the offensive way.
Thank You

I totally agree with the post of Dr. Parth Mehta. Hummer is a gas guzzling vehicle and we do not at all require this in India. Even in the West, this is being obsoleted by more fuel efficient vehicles given that the gas prices are shooting up.
It is upto the club of wealthy in India to consider this fact before buying this vehicle as I too presume it to be aggressively priced after being imported. It can be a snob appeal, but for all practical purposes, it is not advisable to procure this vehicle.
