Dextra 2015:Mobile app operated driverless car, a major attraction

Dextra 2015 – the first annual science and technology festival of Amiraj College of Engineering & Technology in Ahmedabad began from today. More than 700 participants from engineering and degree colleges across the state will be participating in this two days tech-fest. The annual festival will witness various technical and non-technical events.

Dextra 2015 will witness technical events like ‘Debugger’ (Debugging the circuit), ‘Krolla K1000’ (to construct a tower crane from provided popsicle sticks), ‘Dextra Furious’ (to design a manually controlled robot that has capacity to cover maximum distance in shortest possible time), ‘C-Scavengers’ and ‘Dextra Latertronics’. There will also be many non technical events like ‘Box – cricket’, ‘Dextra Detectives’, ‘Dextra Cartel’ (Poster making competition), ‘Birota’ (to ride a two-wheeled bike over a fixed course in the longest interval of time) and various other games like ‘NFS War zone’ and ‘Counter strike’.

The major attraction at the tech-fest – Dextra SMART – A mobile app based driverless car. This smart car can be operated by mobile phone or laptop from any place of the world with the help of sensors and smart technologies. This is better described as next generation robo fighter, which can also run on unmapped off roads.

Speaking at the event Mr. Priyank Patel, Trustee, Amiraj College of Engineering & Technology said, “Dextra 2015 – The Amiraj tech-fest is the common platform for the aspirant engineers where technical knowledge and innovative ideas take practical shape and are being displayed as today’s reality in life.”
