11 from Juhapura booked for attack on police, violation of night curfew

Sabarmati: Vejalpur Police has booked 11 persons from Juhapura under IPC sections 143, 147, 149, 332, 353, 186 and 188.
According to police complaint, accused were out on Sonal road with two rickshaws and a two-wheeler. They were shouting loudly and making sound of horn during night curfew period at 9.30 pm. When stopped they entered into scuffle and hand to hand fight with police men.
They attacked police men with sticks and caused injuries to two cops. While three accused were nabbed on the spot, other 8 escaped. While one constable had head injury, the other had shoulder injury.
Accused are named as Mohammad Zahir Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Mohammad Ayaz Mohammad Zahir, Mohammad Anash Mohammad Zahir Sheikh, Mohammad Almas, Mohammad Zaid, Shamimbanu, Zaid’s wife Farzana, neighbour Farzanabanu, Ayaz’s wife Afsara, rickshaw driver Abid Mohammad Mansuri, Ayaz’s wife’s brother Imran Aiyub Sheikh.
