Another FIR against Tamanna Saiyed and husband in Vadodara over ₹4.50 lakh fraud
September 19, 2026
Vadodara: Another complaint has been filed against Tamanna Saiyed, who was previously named in a case related to extortion, usury and intimidation. This time, an interior decorator from Tandalja has accused Tamanna and her husband, Sohel Saiyed, of failing to pay ₹4.50 lakh for interior work carried out at their flat in the Chhani area.
Based on the complaint, Fatehgunj police have registered a case against Sohel Saiyed and Tamanna Saiyed and launched an investigation.
According to the complaint filed by Mohammad Kalim Mohammad Sharif Shaikh, a Tandalja resident who runs an interior decoration business, Sohel approached him in April 2024 after showing him a new flat in Chhani Veda-2. He asked Shaikh to undertake the interior work based on the requirements of him and his wife, Tamanna.
A quotation of ₹7 lakh was initially prepared for interior design, POP work, electrical wiring, wooden furniture, iron grills and other work. However, considering their friendship, the amount was later agreed at ₹6.55 lakh.
The couple later requested additional work, including curtains and wooden flooring, costing ₹2,69,945. The total bill for the interior and additional work came to ₹9,24,945.
The complaint states that the couple initially paid ₹4.74 lakh in instalments through cash and Google Pay, starting with a payment of ₹25,000. An amount of ₹4,50,945 remained outstanding.
Shaikh alleged that despite repeated requests for payment, the couple kept delaying the settlement, asking him to have faith and assuring him that the entire amount would be paid before the work was completed.
The interior and additional work were completed in July 2024, but the outstanding amount was allegedly not paid. Shaikh subsequently approached Fatehgunj police and sought legal action against Sohel and Tamanna.
Police have registered the complaint and are investigating the allegations. DeshGujarat
