Dharoi Adventure Fest Kicks Off; 45-Day Event Features Parasailing, Rock Climbing, Trekking

Mehsana: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today inaugurated Gujarat’s first and India’s longest adventure festival, the Dharoi Adventure Fest, at the iconic Dharoi Dam, located on the Mehsana-Sabarkantha border, a press release stated. The Chief Minister also launched the adventure zone and enjoyed a thrilling speed boat ride.

Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera and other dignitaries accompanied the CM as he explored various adventure activities including paramotoring, and inaugurated the Dharoi tent city.

The Dharoi Dam region is being developed into a world-class, sustainable tourism and pilgrimage destination. The entire development plan is structured in three phases, focusing on spiritual, adventure, eco, and recreational tourism, while also promoting local employment under the “Vocal for Local” initiative.

Speaking to the media, Tourism Secretary Dr. Rajendra Kumar stated that the Dharoi Adventure Fest will run for approximately 45 days, offering a variety of land-based, water-based, and air-based adventure activities for tourists.

To accommodate visitors, a modern tent city has been set up with 21 luxury tents and an AC dormitory with over 100 beds. Additional amenities include a modern dining hall and emergency health facilities.
