Four nabbed for assaulting Hindu youth in Valod

Valod: Tension prevailed in Buhari Jin Phaliya of Valod taluka after an altercation over broken cement slabs allegedly led to the assault of a Hindu youth on December 25. Police have registered a case against four persons following a complaint lodged by a local resident.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 5:45 pm when Hanif Razak Memon was reversing his car and reportedly drove over cement slabs placed along the roadside, resulting in five slabs breaking. When the victim, Satish Chandrakant Bhandari, asked him to replace the damaged slabs, an argument ensued. Thereafter, Hanif’s relatives, identified as Rizwan Arif Memon, Irfan Arif Memon, and Sarfaraz Farooq Memon, arrived at the spot and allegedly assaulted Satish Bhandari. The complainant has also stated that he sustained bleeding injuries and was threatened with dire consequences.
As news of the incident spread, several local residents gathered near the Buhari police post, creating a tense atmosphere in the area. Police personnel were deployed to prevent further escalation. Based on Bhandari’s complaint, Buhari Police have registered an offence against the four accused under relevant sections and initiated further investigation.
