“My son gave his life for Social justice. I am proud of him. Though police investigation is going on in right direction presently, and I am satisfied with it, if in future I don’t find it satisfactory, I would go to CID, CBI, High Court and will fight up to Supreme Court for justice,” late Amit Jethwa’s father Bhikhabhai told media person today standing next to his son’s dead body which was ready to be taken to Khambha from Ahmedabad for funeral.

“Dinubhai Solanki who was once MLA of Kodinar and now MP told me over a phone call before three years that I should control my son’s activities or he would kill him. Just before two years, my son had signed affidavit stating that if he or any of his family members are attacked or killed, the person responsible for that act would be Dinu Bogha Solanki. When my son was attacked in Sardar chowk, he had alleged Dinu Solanki for that. My son had raised several issues against politically strong Dinubhai Solanki such as mining activities spread headed by him in 100 acre forest land, his occupied Gaushala, town hall, and transfer of management of community hall to a trust headed by his brother’s son Shivabhai Solanki,” Bhikhabhai added.

When media persons tried to contact Dinu Solanki, a BJP MP from Junagadh, he was unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad city police and Crime branch have set up seven teams to investigate Amit Jethwa’s murder quickly and effectively. Four teams are headed to Saurashtra from where Jethwa’s murder is believed to be originated. Junagadh’s mark has been found on shirt of one of the two murderers bag that they left on the spot before they fled away in the dark.
