Modi reads Gandhi’s Hind Swaraj during Vanche Gujarat hours

Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today joined the book-lovers here at Central Library in Gandhinagar where a group-reading was organized to gear up ‘Vanche Gujarat’ campaign.
Nine in the morning today when central library’s bell rung, Shri Modi took seat with other readers as if a routine and picked up his favorite – ‘Hindswaraj’, both written and English-translated by Mahatma Gandhi a century back. Not just reading, he also took some notes in his personal diary.
India has always worshiped different forms of knowledge. Today, when this age is considered as ‘information’ age, unique program like this, will serve as if a ceremonial in acquiring great knowledge, Shri Modi said expressing wish.
He appealed people to willingly participate in ‘Vanche Gujarat’ campaign so that habit of reading can be infused in the deepest nerve of the younger generation.
GUDA Chairman Shri Ashok Bhavsar, Principal Secretary for Education Shri Hasmukh Adhiya, Secretary for Youth & Cultural Activities Shri Bhagyesh Jha, Library Director Shri Shaikh, writers, book-lovers and students of school-colleges in large number joined the reading.
