Residents of Someshwar Bungalows oppose Iconic Shyamal building development

Ahmedabad: Some residents of Someshwar bungalows have protested the ongoing construction works of Iconic Shayamal commercial building. The residents alleged that the builders of Iconic Shyamal were making construction in breach of the plan approved by Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC). They particularly opposed power substation installation. A commercial property project right on Shyamal Cross Roads is being developed by Dharnidhar Developers, Aaron Infrastructure, Arista Buildcon and Shafalya. The new property will have 91 shops, offices, corporate houses, cafetaria, gymnasium, three-level basement parking space and more facilities. Protests and litigations by locals against the next door new commercial constructions had been seen in the past in cases of Alpha One Mall (Amdavad One Mall now) and Dev Arc Mall also in the city.
