Nomination process begins for 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat; Last date to file paper April 19th

Gandhinagar: The nomination process for all 26 Lok Sabha seats of Gujarat began today, with the Election Commission issuing the Gazette notification for the third phase of polls for the General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024.
Nominations for the third phase of General Elections 2024 have commenced today. The Gazette notification for 94 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs) across 12 States/UTs going for polls in the General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024 has been issued.
Polling in these 94 PCs, including the 26 seats in Gujarat, will take place on May 7, 2024. As per the notification, April 19, 2024 (Friday), is the last date for making nominations; April 20, 2024 (Saturday), will be the date for scrutiny of nominations, and April 22, 2024 (Monday), is the last date for withdrawal of candidatures. The polling will take place on May 7th (Tuesday) from 7 am to 6 pm, and the results will be announced after all phases of the elections on June 4th.
Along with Gujarat, the states/UTs voting in Phase 3 are Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. DeshGujarat
