Gujarat Records 19% GST Revenue Growth in Q3 of FY 2024-25

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has registered a 19% increase in revenue under GST in the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25 compared to the same period of the previous year, while at the national level, an increase of 8% has been recorded in the same period.
The state has earned a revenue of Rs. 18,448 crore under GST in the third quarter of the current financial year, which is Rs. 2,925 crore more than the revenue earned in the same period of the previous year.
During the same period, the state has earned a total revenue of Rs. 8197 crore under VAT, Rs. 2,912 crore under Electricity Duty and Rs. 64 crore under Professional Tax, totaling Rs. 29,617 crore.
Under GST, a revenue of Rs. 5650 crore has been earned in December-2024, which is 11% more than the revenue of Rs. 5082 crore in December-2023 last year.
The state has earned Rs. 2801 crore under VAT, Rs. 984 crore under electricity charges and Rs. 20 crore under business tax in December-2024. Thus, the state has earned Rs. 9454 crore under GST, VAT, electricity charges and business tax in December-24.
