Gujarat CM Flags River and Air Pollution; Orders Repair of School Toilets

Gandhinagar: The State Council of Ministers, chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, met in Gandhinagar on Tuesday. Briefing the media after the meeting, Spokesperson Minister Jitubhai Vaghani said the Chief Minister has directed a statewide campaign to repair, clean and intensively inspect toilet blocks in all government schools. The drive will ensure sanitation, drainage and water facilities, along with immediate repairs where required.
The Chief Minister also raised concern over pollution in the state’s rivers and streams, instructing senior officials to urgently identify the causes and implement measures to curb contamination.
The cabinet further discussed air pollution, with Patel directing officials to prepare a detailed, multi-department action plan to mitigate future risks and strengthen statewide pollution control measures. DeshGujarat
