A video on how drunk PSI AK Parmar was caught by public and handed over to Ellis bridge police

-As many as 1393 gifts presented to Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi at various public functions will be exhibited at Ahmedabad’s Ravishankar Rawal art gallery between 27-29 January. A list of gifts that are to be exhibited and later auctioned includes 208 objects of gold and silver, 377 memento, 225 photo frames and paintings, 154 turbans, 328 shawl etc.
-Having Supreme Court verdict in its favor, Gujarat government’s VET department has issued a notice to ESSAR Oil to pay Rs 8011.31 crore Rupees immediately. Such notice was issued on 24 January.
-Who else but Gujarat Congress said this, that too in writing that Chief Minister Narendra Modi is “a master organizer and astute election strategist.” The two-page pamphlet that was distributed with newspapers on Republic Day in some parts of Gujarat, mentions different chief ministers and their accomplishments. About Modi, the Congress advertisement says, “He has been trying very hard to convert Gujarat into a vibrant state, he has established separate department for biotechnology, and he has also been able to raise the height of Narmada dam from 11.64 mts to 121.92 mts.”
-Bollywood film-star Amitabh Bachchan today completed Gujarat Tourism ad shoot at Modhera sun temple. Shri Bachchan had night halt at Mehsana’s Shanku’s water park. Shri Bachchan will tomorrow shoot at Patan’s Queens stepwell and will also promote Patola textile art of Patan which is near extinction.
– IIM Ahmedabad is hosting Chaos 2012, while Gujarat University Exhibition hall will tonight have a concert night of Kandisa fame band Indian Ocean.
-Drunk Police Sub Inspector of Vadodara’s Raopura police station who was caught by public while creating ruckus in Ahmedabad’s Paldi area has been suspended today. Parmar was arrested by police on 25 January. People in Paldi area had turned his car upside down showing anger against him and his behavior in public. Parmar was yesterday released on bail. Today the Commissioner of police, Vadodara, Shri Satish Sharma ordered his suspension. Also a Reserve police inspector Kuldip Sharma was suspended. Raopura’s police inspector Chaudhary has been shifted to Traffic branch.
-As many as 11 wild ass ventured into the Narmada canal today morning. Three of them died in the water. Forest department and police rushed to the place near Dhrangadhra to rescue the protected animals.
