BHEL bags Rs. 3,536 crore order for 800 MW Wanakbori power plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited(BHEL) has won the contract of Rs. 3,536 crore to set up a 800 MW supercritical thermal power plant at Wanakbori in Kheda district of Gujarat through International Competitive Bidding from the state-run Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd(GSECL) on EPC(Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis. This is the highest valued order placed by GSECL.
These details were shared by BHEL with the Bombay Stock Exchange in a statement. The key equipment for the contract will be manufactured at BHEL’s Teichy, Haridwar, Bhopal, Ranipet, Hynderabad, Bangalore and Jhansi plants according to the release.
