Moarari Bapu’s trust donates Rs 5 lakh to Gujarati Sahitya Parishad

Ram Kathakar Morari Bapu donated Rs five lakh to Gujarati Sahitya Parishad on Sunday. Morari Bapu offered Rs five lakh donation after reading Gujarati author and columnist Gunvant Shah’s article in which Shah had ask the people to donate to Sahitya Parishad for betterment works of its auditorium which is in very poor condition.

Last month when Maharashtra’s Home Minister RR Patil was in Gujarati Sahitya Parishad auditorium to attend a book release function, the power supply was disrupted at least eight time due to auditorium’s poor electric arrangement. When power desrupted during Patil’s speech, he said he had heard about excellent and uniterupted power supply in Gujarat through Gujarat govt advertisements, but here the situation is different. Patil was told that it was auditorium’s internal problem and power supply is smooth elsewhere.The auditorium has numerous broken chairs. It is non-AC. Lighting is very poor, and some fans are also not working.

Gujarati Sahitya Parishad aims to generate Rs 25 lakh fund for betterment works of this auditorium. Morari Bapu’s Sitaram trust donation is huge for Parishad.
