Justice is greater than CBI:Modi in Delhi on Amit Shah
Mumbai, 28 June, 2010
While answering the questions raised by media persons in Delhi, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi after attending National Development Council meeting on Saturday raised the question that why minister Amit Shah was given just one-hour time by the CBI. Modi said, he could be given more time.
Modi also raised the question: “how come CBI within 20 hour, filed 30,000 page chargesheet? One day they say to come to talk and next day how come 30000 page chargesheet could come up? This itself shows, that the events are taking place under some political motivation. So this is the proof of misuse of CBI.”
In reply to question on present status of Amit Shah, Modi said:”Justice is bigger than CBI. Shah is in process to appeal for Justice. It’s not crime to go to seek justice. And how can one object a person’s right to go for justice?”
When asked whether he could be next target, Modi said he can’t react on hypothetical situation.
