Amit Shah resurfaces, demands video recording of his interrogation
Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat, 25 July 2010
Gujarat minister of state for Home Amit Shah today resurfaced at Ahmedabad’s BJP Gujarat region headquarter around noon and said he was ready to go before CBI office. Shah addressed a press conference with state BJP Chief RC Faldu and other BJP leaders.
Shah said he is not guilty and charges against him are fabricated, the charges are politically framed. Shah demanded that his interrogation by CBI should be recorded in video. He said, he or any other accused has not been given a chargesheet as of now. The chargesheet, shah said is prepared by Congress.
“Whatever statement whatever interrogation, they want to do with me should be video recorded. CBI didn’t record videos of those who in past asked CBI for it. I demand that each and every moment of my interrogation should be recorded in video and same video tape should be presented before court as it is,” Shah said.
Shah said the CBI filed chargesheet at five ‘o’ clock in the evening. This is five year old encounter. Why didn’t they wait for two more days? Shah asked. Shah said he was called under chapter 14 one day and next day CBI accused him for murder without hearing him!
Shah said he will go to CBI office, will give answer, and if they arrest, all legal options are open.
“The investigation has gone in wrong direction, Sohrabuddin encounter is no more a focal point of this investigation, the process is going on for political encounter of this government.”
Shah said, on 23rd he was going to visit CBI, but he came to know that they were making photocopy of 30000 pages since a night before. Therefore he didn’t visit and was taking legal advices. The chargesheet was well prepared before to frame him, and accusations were made in advance, therefore his interrogation and summon was merely a drama. Fabricated chargesheet against him had nothing to do with summon.
