Modi allots Amit Shah’s departments to other ministers

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday allotted former minister of state Amit Shah’s portfolios to other existing ministers.

According to state press release, Transport department has been allotted to Gujarat Finance minister Shri Vajubhai Vala.

Agriculture minister Dilip Sanghani has been allotted departments of Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs, Prison, and Law and Justice.

Both Vala and Sanghani are cabinet ministers.

Chief Minister Modi has continued to keep cabinet Home ministry with him, and appointed none as new minister of state for Home replacing Amit Shah. Thus Modi is in full control of Home department.

Other (MOS)departments of former minister of state Shri Amit Shah are allotted to minister of state for Health Shri Parbatbhai Patel. These departments(MOS level) are Jail, Law and Justice, Civil Defence, Police Housing, Home Guards, Gram Rakshak Dal, Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs, Border Security, Prohibition and Excise.
