Gujarat is being treated like it’s not part of the country:Modi
Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat, 31 July 2010

In his speech at University Convention Centre on Saturday morning, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi attacked the centre politics of misusing CBI. Modi said Gujarat is being treated like it is not a part of the country. Modi talked about success ratio of Gujarat Police charge sheet against CBI charge sheet in cases where two different charge sheets from two agencies were filed. Modi said while Gujarat Police’s charge sheet could convicted all accused baring one, the CBI charge sheet could merely achieved success to secure one conviction and that too because that convicted Gujarat policeman had delayed the translation of Bilkis Banu case.

He said the central govt first said Ishrat Jahan was terrorist, and then backtracked from its this stand, but when James Headily himself confessed that Jahan was terrorist, the Congress leaders mouths were literally locked.

Modi lauded his police’s success in nabbing terrorists in Akshardham and other cases. Modi gave example of Jammu’s Raghunath Mandir attack and Mumbai local train blasts, and compared them with Gujarat’s Akshardham Mandir attack case and Ahmedabad serial blasts cases in which Gujarat Police successfully produced culprits before court. Modi said the Gujarat police had produced as many as 400 accused in terror cases before court. He said Gujarat’s justice system, police machinery is being defamed and Lies are being spread. Modi said some people believe that if they do this and that, Modi will be scared, but they should understand that where will Modi go? Modi has no address. Modi ended his speech pointing out that, “our Badshahs of Delhis should observe restrain while playing this blind game of vote bank politics which could weaken the patriots and strengthen the anti-nationals.”
