“Should we lock all courts in Gujarat?” Modi asks people
Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat, 31 July 2010
CBI had yesterday filed an application in Supreme Court to shift Sohrabuddin encounter case trial outside Gujarat.
Given below is Narendra Modi’s communication with the people today morning at Gujarat University Convention centre after tree plantation function.
“The way, one by one case is being sent out of Gujarat, is humiliation of Gujarat’s court system.”
“If they want to bring Gujarat’s cases outside the state, then should we lock the courts in Gujarat?”
“Should we shut down Gujarat’s law colleges, law university?”
“Should we unemploy the lawyers associated with this profession?”
“I will fight whatever accusations made against me, I will tolerate my humiliation, but I would not tolerate humiliation of Gujarat’s courts, and judges at any cost.”
“In past a new born child used to learn speaking ‘Curfew’ earlier than ‘Mummy’ and ‘Papa’. Today’s generation don’t know about this word ‘curfew’. The peace, development and progress that prevail in this state is thank to the police and court system here.”
“They are trying to malign my name for the last eight years. But now they have started maligning the judicial system of the state. I will not tolerate this. They can attack me but why the judicial system?”
“Are judges of Gujarat useless. Other courts of the country are good, but courts in Gujarat are bad,”
“Is not this a humiliation of Gujarat’s judges?”
“Isn’t this humiliation of Gujarat’s advocates?”
“Isn’t this humiliation of centuries old pro-justice culture of Gujarat?”
“How much more we have to tolerate?”
“I want to ask the Delhi sultanate, answer us, do you believe Gujarat as part of country or not?”
“Why is Gujarat being treated as if it was part of an enemy state?”
