CBI Special Court in Ahmedabad on Wednesday rejected CBI’s plea to take former minister of state for Home Shri Amit Shah on custodial remand.

CBI court’s this decision was expected as there are no direct evidences against Amit Shah. And day-by-day it is becoming clearer that he is politically framed.

When court had granted three-day judicial remand earlier, the CBI had spent little time to interrogate Amit Shah. CBI didn’t utilize full time given to it for judicial interrogation, and questioned Shah for only two hours on the first day, 40 minutes on the second day, and 22 minutes on the third day. It should be mentioned that CBI was given three days to question Shah, and on each day, the agency was free to quiz Shah between 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Another point in Amit Shah’s favor was that, as he has been chargesheeted already, CBI had no jurisdiction to seek his custodial remand.

The court will deliver its decision on Shah’s bail plea on 11 August. As it was widely perceived, CBI has weak case against Shah legally. At least not so strong, as it was highlighted widely, in politically comfortable section of media, through leakage route.

Meanwhile, CBI has decided to appeal in Sessions court against CBI special court decision. Encountered gangster Sohrabuddin’s brother Rubabuddin who is backed by dubious NGOs has demanded to become a party in this case jointly with CBI.
