CBI brings Amit Shah to interrogation, Yatin Oza there to see there’s no torture
Gandhinagar, DeshGujarat, 7 August 2010
CBI team today took custody of former minister of state for Home Shri Amit Shah from Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati jail, and took Shah to Gandhinagar based CBI/SIT office located at old Sachivalaya complex on third floor.
Shah’s medical check up was done at Sabarmati jail in the morning. He was then made sit between two CBI officials on the back seat of the car. Shah stepped down and waved his hand at media present outside the CBI office with smile.
The Gujarat High Court has permitted Shah’s lawyer to sit at some distance and watch Shah’s interrogation. But such person would be made sit at audible distance, where he would not be able to hear the interrogation. Famous Gujarat High Court lawyer and High Court Bar Association Chief former MLA Yatin Oza is there with another lawyer Mitesh Amin to do this duty. Oza talked with the media present outside the CBI office and said, he would ensure there’s no torture on Shah.
CBI has got two-days custody of Shah to interrogate him on Sohrabuddin encounter case and its alleged cover up.
