Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today allotted portfolios to new inducted ministers of state who took oath earlier at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

While Praful Patel, MLA from Himmat Nagar was given Police housing, Border security, Civil Defense, Home Guards, Gram Rakshak Dal, Jail, Prohibition, Excise and Home department, Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja, another Modi loyalist and MLA from Ahmedabad’s Asarwa constituency has been allotted Law and Justice system and Parliamentary affairs portfolios.

Pradipsinh Jadeja became MLA in year 2002. He has worked as Chief Whip of the party in Gujarat assembly. He worked as Chairman of Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandagi Samiti and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers company. He was BJP’s ward President in year 1980. Born on 11 June 1962, Jadeja is BSC graduate with chemistry as main subject. His hobbies are sports and cricket. He has traveled America and Europe. He has served as Gujarat University Syndicate member, Afro Asian Games Organizing Committee Chairman, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation corporator, Health Committee Chairman, Hospital Committee Chairman also. Jadeja is President of Gujarat state Rajpur-Khshatriya Vidyasabha. He is BJP’s state executive member.

Visavdar MLA Kanubhai Bhalala has been allotted Agriculture, Water resources(excluding Kapsar project) portfolio.

Kanubhai Bhalala entered into Gujarat assembly as MLA in year 2002. He was Bharatiya Kisan Sangh’s Visavdar unit President in 1986, and remained Junagadh district President of Sangh for nine years. From 1998 he is Visavdar Taluka BJP President. He is founding Director and now Chairman of Dindayal Credit Cooperative Society. He is party’s leader in Visavdar taluka Panchayat. He was once jailed for his pro-farmers agitation. He had participated in 1990 Ayodhya Karseva movement, and was arrested and jailed.

Shrimati Vasuben Trivedi was allotted Higher and Technical education, women and child welfare.

It should be mentioned here that ministry of Home, Law and Justice were with Amit Shah, who had to resign from his post, after he was charge sheeted in Sohrabuddin encounter case.

The departments allotted to Shrimati Vasuben Trivedi were earlier with Mayaben Kodnani last year, before she resigned after charge sheeted in connection with post-Godhra riot cases.

Born on 1 February, 1950 in Vadodara taluka’s Savli taluka’s Vejpur village, Vasuben is MA, LLB. She started her career as professor. She was Principal and at present Head of the department in Bhavans sun A.K.Doshi women college. She has served as Saurashtra University Academic Council member, Saurashtra University Senate member, Home Science Faculty Dean, Indira Gandhi Open University coordinator, Bhavnagar University Academic Council member, Gujarat state text book body’s President, Ayurvedic University Senate and Syndicate member. She is Vice President of Guajarat BJP women cell. She has hobby of reading, writing, traveling and interior decoration. She has traveled U.K., Canada and America. Her political career started from 2002. She was Gujarat Assembly, Andaj Samiti and Jaher Sahas Samiti’s Chairman and member. She has also been Chairman of Gujarat Tourism.
