Nadiad MLA Pankaj Desai is new BJP Chief Whip in Gujarat Assembly

Popular MLA of Nadiad, Shri Pankaj Desai has been selected as new Chief Whip of the ruling BJP in Gujarat Assembly.

Pankaj Desai will replace Pradipsinh Jadeja who was recently inducted into cabinet by Chief Minister Narendra Modi. elected a new President of Gujarat BJP. Pradipsinh left the post of Chief Whip of the party in assembly after becoming minister of state for Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs.

Two- day Gujarat assembly session is scheduled next month.

Whoever becomes Chief whip of BJP in Gujarat Assembly, ultimately gets promotion. Current Gujarat BJP President R.C.Faldu also was party’s Chief Whip. He resigned from this post after becoming Gujarat BJP President. Pradipsinh Jadeja who replaced Faldu just in last February, ultimately became minister within 6 months. Desai is young and popular MLA with bright prospects. Becoming party’s Chief whip, will prove as just first step for him towards more elevated political responsibility.

Desai will be enjoying a status of minister of state as Chief Whip.
