It’s again a time to choose the new Mayor of Ahmedabad, and again in Gandhinagar, a ‘swayamvar’ has been organized for selection of new Mayor.

So who will select the new Mayor?

Of course, the one and only Shriman Narendra Modi.

Two and half years ago when time came to choose new Mayor of Ahmedabad, Modi called all BJP corporators from other backward class(OBC) to Gandhinagar, interviewed them, and choose Kanaji Thakor as new Mayor. The post of Ahmedabad Mayor was reserved for OBC corporator at that time.

This time, Modi has called all newly elected BJP corporators to Gandhinagar on 22 October in a scheduled ‘tiffin meeting’ where corporators will bring home cooked food in tiffin and will have dinner with Modi.

Modi will observe all newly elected BJP corporators of AMC and talk with them over a dinner event.

Though AMC result is out before a week, and current term ends on 23rd, Modi is busy in local polls campaign, and therefore the election of new Mayor will be held on 30th October. Before that, Modi will decide on the names of the important posts like Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Standing Committee Chairman.

AMC corporators are instructed to remain present in the event via individual phone calls.
