Modi congratulates WASMO team for winning Commonwealth award

Gujarat’s Chief Minister Narendrabhai Modi and Water Supply Minister Nitinbhai Patel today congratulated the staff of Water and Sanitation Management Organization(WASMO) of the State Water Supply Department for winning the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration (CAPAM) international award.

The prize was received by Principal Water Supply Secretary H.K. Dash on behalf of the Gujarat Government at Malta in Europe recently.

The award was in recognition of the WASMO’s achievement in the field of people’s participation in water resource management.

It may be mentioned here that Gujarat Government won a CAPAM award for the second time. Earlier, the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) had won the CAPAM Gold Medal in 2004 for its achievement in disaster management.
