Dadra Nagar Haveli result punctures Gujarat Congress’s EVM excuses
Surat, 28 October, 2010
Neighboring Dadra Nagar Haveli panchayat election result has punctured Gujarat Congress’s claim that it was Electronic Voting Machine that made BJP victorious in Gujarat civic and panchayat polls.
Though the election in Dadra Nagar Haveli was held recently through ballet papers, BJP has been victorious bulldozing the Congress, ditto as what happened in recent Gujarat elections.
Out of District Panchayat’s 11 seats, 8 are won by BJP and only 3 are with Congress. In 11 Gram Panchayats election, 8 are now with BJP. Out of total 22 seats of Gram Panchayat and District Panchayat both, the BJP has secured 16 seats.
Again, the elections in DNH were held through ballet papers, and not EVM.
