Saijpur,Prantij byelections:BJP’s victory march continues

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s Saijpur ward byelection result is out.

BJP is victorious on two seats, while Congress has got one seat out of total three seats of this ward.

BJP’s existing corporator Mahadev Desai has retained his seat here. Another BJP candidate Krishna Thakar is also victorious. Krishna Thakar was earlier in Congress, but she resigned from the party and joined BJP later on.

Meanwhile Congress’s one candidate Kirtibhai Parmar has been victorious. Kirtibhai is brother of late Congress corporator Dr. Ganpat Parmar who died just two days before the election last month. Election was therefore postponed. Congress had then replaced Dr. Ganpat Parmar with his brother Kirtibhai Parmar.

Meanwhile Prantij Taluka Panchayat’s Vadarad seat has also gone to BJP in byelection.
