“Essence of science is independent thinking and hard work and not equipment”

Former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam delivered one of the finest speeches in recent times at IIM Ahmedabad early this week. Dr. Kalam addressed the students gathered here to attend the National Innovation Foundation award ceremony.

Dr. Kalam gave away awards to 19 innovator students. A small exhibition was organized outside the auditorium showcasing the award winning innovations.

Dr. Kalam in his speech said, the essence of science was independent thinking and hard work and not equipment. He gave example of Dr. C.V.Raman’s invention spending just $4. Dr. Kalam gave examples of Einstein and Ramanujan also to motivate the children.
