Wedding season kicks off today after four months gap
Ahmedabad, 22 November, 2010
After nearly four months gap, a big wedding season is starting today in Gujarat.
In Gujarati Hindu tradition, wedding is not organized in Chaturmas( four months of monsoon).
Now when Chaturmas are recently concluded, and Dev Divali passed on Sunday, the wedding season is all set to kick off from Monday.
Highest number of weddings are organized in this week.
Meanwhile, meteorological department’s prediction about possibility of rain between 22-24 November, has created panic among those families who are scheduled to host wedding function during these days.
Take for instance and example of Ahmedabad city, where entire Saturday and Sunday remained cloudy, and drizzle was experienced on Sunday evening for some time.
