Rs. 14 lakh bike and Rs. 1 lakh key!

Ahmedabad’s Naranpura police detained Rs. 14 lakh bike on Monday. The price of bike’s key is Rs. 1 lakh.

During the routine checking process at Vadaj circle, the police spotted overspeeding racer bike of Maharashtra passing. The police stopped the bike and asked for R.C.book and license which the biker Pavan Lakhani couldn’t produce. Lakhani refused to take memo and left his bike with the police. Thus his bike was detained under Motor Vehicle Act. According to sourced the real owner of this bike is Chandlodia’s Sahil Rabari.

Burglary for garlics!!!!!

This is funny but real news. Vadodara’s Varasiya based Jitubhai Madhvani is wholesale trader of garlic. Jitubhai has created godown facility on first floor of his house to facilitate his business. Last night when he was sleeping with his family on the ground floor, his 325 kg garlic worth Rs. 20,000 were stolen from the first floor godown. Jitendrabhai has filed police complaint in this regard on Monday morning.

Rationalist Morari Bapu!

Morari Bapu was in Surat on Sunday to dedicate a book written by Professor Raman Pathak who is a rationalist. Speaking in the function Morari Bapu said: “I am neither nastik(atheist), nor aastik(theist), I am just vaastavik(realistic).”

Morari Bapu said he never observes fast in the month of Shravan and even during Shivratri.

He said he was in Jyotish(foretelling) profession for 10 years without knowing anything about Jyotish, and it was rationalism that prevented him to continue with that profession further.

Morari Bapu said ‘Vaastu Shastra’ is ‘bogus’. He said the earth is in globe shape and there’s no direction. “If sun was not there in sky, we the humans could not even think about directions,” he added.

Minister goofs up

Minister of state for Industry Saurabh Patel was in Surat on Sunday to attend a curtain raiser event of Sparkle 2011. The minister said in his speech: “There’s no direct air connectivity between Surat and Delhi today. This is great injustice to this city. We will represent this issue before the centre. A plane will come from Delhi and we will bring it here.”

Listening to this, the entire auditorium was shocked. Because actually Surat is connected with Delhi directly through air!!!

Teachers abroad on leave loose job in Mahesana

11 teachers who are abroad and on leave are kicked out from their job in Mahesana district. According to new rule, a teacher absent on job for more than 1 year after his/her approved holidays must be terminated from job.
