Following are excerpts from Shri Subramaniam Swamy’s 29 December 2010 Ahmedabad speech:

-Kapil Sibbal says he needs 60 days time to cancel the telecom licenses questioned by the court, but I want to ask that while in petrol pump allotment case the licenses were immediately canceled after court order, why not same in telecom license case? It should be noted that Sibbal’s both sons are in telecom.

-I will not leave the 2G scam before final result. Corruption should be, and can be fought to win. Once upon a time, there was huge corruption in railway reservation system, but we should admire Rajiv Gandhi for bringing in computerized reservation that has now crushed corruption in that system. When I was fighting Emergency, I heard people telling me that I should better go to Howard and teach there because nobody could harm Indira, and India would be ruled by Indira, her son Sanjay and then Sanjay’s dog. However we continued fighting emergency, and ended it. Indira too was defeated in subsequent election. One should not be disappoint always thinking wrongfully that corruption can not be eradicated at all.

-It’s O.K. if you can’t catch all those who are corrupt, but you should deal in strictest manner with those who are caught in corruption cases. America can give jail of 150 years to a corrupt businessman only after six months long proceeding, but here in India we have this Satyam tycoon who is in A.C. hospital presently. Our laws are good and enough, but there is lacking of willingness.

-On 26 September Rahul Gandhi was caught with his girlfriend in America because he had 1,60,000 US dollar bag, while in America one is allowed to have only 10,000 US dollar at entry point and more amount has to be declared. For every eight thousand dollars more there is a provision of 16 years imprisonment. Thus Rahul could be sentenced for 8 multiplied by 16 years in America for his offense. However as soon as she heard, Sonia Gandhi wen to then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for help. Shri Vajpayee called Bush, but the American administration was not ready for compromise in Rahul’s case. After long communications the U.S. authority allowed Rahul to go, with condition that he had to give it in written that he would come back for any investigation in this connection whenever he would be called for. Rahul gave this note in writing and was released. If big fishes are released like this, it would be difficult to eradicate corruption. I have narrated this incident in at least ten press meets, but nobody in press publishes it. Only Jagran and The Hindu had published news story about this incident at that time.

-Sonia Gandhi is not even fifth class pass, but she said in her affidavit that she had studied in Cambridge. When I challenged it, the answer from Sonia came was that it was a typing mistake. This was clearly laughable because there’s huge difference between fifth class pass and Cambridge pass. Now if Sonia didn’t study in Cambridge then what was she doing in London for five years. We inquire everything when we go and search bride or groom even, but when it comes to a lady who virtually leads our nation, we don’t know what she was doing for five years in London.

-Now Sonia has so much money, that the money from corruption has been deposited in Macaw in the name of her two sisters. This and more truth will come out, and nobody can stop it.

-A.Raja asks others that is there any way of compromise with Swamy? I reply “Pooja karo”. I have seen this Raja becoming rich through my eyes. He used to ride a bicycle, but today he owns a big big land. A.Raja thought who could harm him as he was backed by Karunanidhi and Sonia, but look what happened to him.

-Our present Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh is dabbu but personally very honest, but otherwise there are all dabbus and dishonest persons in Congress. When Supreme Court for the first time in history asked Prime Minister office to file affidavit, and Law ministry Secretary said there was no need to behave accordingly, I had a chance to bring the Prime Minister to the court and make a situation that would push him for resignation, but here was ‘dharmasankat’ for me, because Sonia wants Manmohan to go, so that she could replace him with Rahul, under which the nation would not function well. So I decided not to disturb Mr. Singh. There’s no gain for country if Mr. Singh leaves his post at this time. However if he doesn’t do enough to bring country’s money back from scamsters, then it would become essential to work for his removal from his post. The PM knows this and therefore he is working in right direction presently.
