The Bachchan of politics Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was yesterday showered with praises by the Bachchans of Indian industry for Vibrant Summit’s success.

Today it was turn of the Bachchan of Bollywood – the real Bachchan to shower praise on the success of the summit.

Bollywood big wig star Amitabh Bachchan tweeted today that, “Gujarat is booming!!”

In early morning tweet on Thursday, Mr. Bachchan said: “Gujarat booming !! development everywhere, tourists in hordes and investment galore ..at Vibrant Summit 15 lakh crore MOU signed !!”

Later at about 2.40 pm Shri Bachchan tweeted again correcting his earlier tweet and said, “Okayy ! made an error in some facts about Vibrant Gujarat .. the investments MOU are 1.5 lakh crores, not 15 ! the dot placed wrong !”

But he had to recorrect his corrected tweet again soon, after receiving Gujarat Tourism Secretary IAS Vipul Mitra’s SMS at around 3.30 pm.

Mr. Bachchan in his latest tweet about Vibrant Gujarat Summit said: Alright ! Got it straight from Vipul Mittra, Secretary Tourism, Gujarat ~ ‘ …. it is 15 lakh crore. Papers have missed a zero, but have corrected it later mentioning 15 lakh crore. Also Times of India writes $ 333 billion USD !! ‘

Mr. Bachchan added: “That is like phenomenal. Almost 60 % GDP of the entire country !! And even if 20% of this fructifies, which is generally the average, it is massive !!!”

It should be mentioned that Mr. Bachchan was yesterday in Ahmedabad to inaugurate international Golf tournament at Kensville golf facility. When reporters asked him about Gujarat government’s Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit going on at few kilometers away, Mr. Bachchan replied that this was a welcome step. When asked about his possible involvement in the summit, Mr. Bachchan said he was not rich enough to declare some investment.
