Pawar’s daughter NCP MP Supriya Sule’s take on Vibrant Gujarat
Ahmedabad, 18 January, 2011

There’s perhaps some serious discussion going on in neighboring Maharashtra about Gujarat’s succesful Vibrant Gujarat golbal business summit 2011.
Last week the Mahrashtra Chief Minister said without naming Gujarat that the state was progressing because of one party rule, while in Mahrashtra’s case, there is a coalition(that obstruct rapid development drive).
Before that Shri Balasaheb in Saamna praised Modi for organizing successful Vibrant Gujarat summit, and also pointed out that such efforts were lacking in Mahaharashtra.
Sharad Pawar had talked about Gujarat’s development even before the summit.
Now next person noticing Vibrant Gujarat summit and Gujarat’s progress is Sharad Pawar’s daughter and Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule.
According to a report published today in Pune’s Times of India, when asked about the opposition to the proposed atomic plant at Jaitapur, Supriya Sule said, “Such projects are the need of the hour. If we do not get sufficient power, the industry will face problems and the reputation of the government will go down. If the common man is deprived of electricity, how the future generations will prosper and progress?”
“How many times we are going to just look at the investments attracted through ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ events? We cannot just sit and watch other states attracting investors and facilitating industrial growth. If Maharashtra does not get power projects, there will not be further development here,” she added.
