Ahmedabad, 24 January, 2011

Jammu and Kashmir police hijacked the bus full of Gujarat BJP Youth Morcha workers in Jammu. Most of the youths in this bus were from Surat. They were on way to reach Srinagar for hoisting Indian tricolor in Lal chowk on 26 January.
About 125 Youth Morcha workers had left Surat on Friday. They reached Jammu yesterday at around 3.30 pm. Three buses were standing outside the railway station to take them to Srinagar. However when they boarded the bus, suddenly a huge number of policemen arrived and surrounded the bus entirely.
According to Harsh Sahghavi, BJYM General Secretary from Gujarat who was also present there – the police were behaving like they were dealing with terrorists.
Few policemen boarded the bus and hijacked it towards Udhampur side. The bus was taken to Katra where all BJYM workers were dumped to a place without food-water and kept there under strict police vigil.
