How 22 trucks with 430 calves crossed interstate check post?

So the news in most of the publication was presented in this way: “22 trucks carrying 430 calves for illegal slaughter seized in north Gujarat.” But the actual news was that the trucks were caught very much inside the area of Gujarat, and the trucks were coming from Rajasthan. This means as many as 22 trucks transporting hundreds of calves illegally crossed Gujarat border check post of RTO and Police without any problem! Were the trucks not checked at Gujarat’s crucial inter-state border post? Or were they allowed to enter into the state for some bribe money? In any case who are those officials who earn from Gujarat’s tax payers money, and also active in extra-earning from butchers? Such a huge traffic of calves can not enter, and reach upto Khedbrahma without green signal of Ambaji Police and border post RTO.

The government has not punished anyone deployed on the border post in this incident so far. If the government had willingness and efficient system in place, notices could be delivered to those deployed on interstate border post.

It should be mentioned here that the trucks were loaded with calved in Rajasthan’s Luni village of Jodhpur district. The entered into Gujarat state through interstate check post of Khedbramha. When Jivdaya and Gauraksha Samiti came to know about such transportation taking place, they rushed to Khedbramha Police station and informed local Police Sub Inspector Khatana. It was Khedbrahma Police staff which later blocked the road and conducted an operation in which 22 trucks filled with 430 calves worth Rs. 2.20 crore were seized. 44 persons arrested in this case are mostly from eastern Gujarat’s Panchamahal district(Godhra fame), and Rajasthan.
